Charles Morris Young

(American, 1869 - 1964)

Charles Morris Young was born in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania. He studied at the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts and at the Colarossi Academy (Paris). Morris specialized in landscape painting and received numerous awards such as gold medals from the Art Club of Philadelphia, the Panama Pacific Exposition, and the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts. His works are held by major museums throughout the country (Washington, D.C., St. Louis, MO, Rochester, NY, Philadelphia, PA). His work is also owned by the museum of Santiago, Chile.
