Biography: | Attilio Pratella studied with various Italian artists until 1880, when he embarked on a career as a landscape and marine painter who specialized in views of Naples. He participated in the Exhibition of the Society to Promote the Fine Arts from 1881 to 1911, and took part in many of the principal shows in Italy and abroad until around 1920. A retrospective exhibition of his work was held in Naples in 1954. Examples of his work are in the Sima Museum, Bucharest, Romania, and the Museo di Capodimonte, Naples.
