David M. Krick was born in 1868 and was listed in the 1912 Newark city directory as an artist living at 414 Plane Street.  He was listed an engraver and an artist.  Not much is known about his paintings however, as his career seemd to revolve mostly around photographic engraving in the printing process. The gallery owns a highly attractive, Impressionistic image of an unknown woman set against a snowy winter landscape, indicating that he was a talented portraitist.
