Julius Delbos

The London born artist, Julius Delbos, spent a great part of his professional career in New York City. He was known as a painter, an engraver, and a teacher. He exhibited at the National Academy of Design, New York City, in 1925 and at the New York Watercolor Club where he won an award in 1935. Delbos held memberships in the American Watercolor Society, the American Artist's Professional League, the New York Watercolor Club, the Salmagundi Club, the Society of Graphic Artists, and the Old Dudley Art Society in London.

The work of Delbos was collected by the Butler Institute of American Art in Youngstown, Ohio; the Toledo Museum of Art; the Yale University Art Gallery in New Haven, Connecticut; and the Brooklyn Museum.
