Pierre Joseph Toussaint was a Flemish painter who focused on small-scale genre scenes. He was born in Brussels, where he lived until his death.The titles of his recorded works: The Message; The Little Smoker; and The Curious indicate a special interest in telling stories featuring children. He exhibited in Antwerp, Ghent, and Brussels.
