Name: Alfred-Charles-Ferdinand Decaen

Biography: Alfred Charles Ferdinand Decaen was born in Paris in 1820 to Jean Charles Denis Decaen and Antoinette Elisabeth Danet.  He enrolled in the School of Fine Arts in 1842 and was a pupil of Michel Martin Drolling and Auguste Couder.  Decaen was known for wildlife scenes, including huntin scenes, as well as military scenes and Orientalist works.  He died in 1902.
