Name: Charles Bird Lawrence

Nationality: American
Biography: Charles Bird Lawrence was born in New Jersey and lived in Bordentown and Philadelphia.  Lawrence exhibited at the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts through 1832, showing views of Bordentown for a few years, and after 1815, almost exclusively portraits.  He worked as a clerk for the "Bank of Penn. Township," and was also listed as a plumber in Philadelphia.
