- The Schwarz Gallery is pleased to present a small collection of sketches by the artist Julius Bloch. These drawings are an excellent representation of social realism, the style Bloch was most well known for. This realist artistic movement in the United States during the early twentieth century was best known for depictions of social issues and scenes of daily life in poorer neighborhoods.
